I started this blog to raise awareness of bad practices of agents or landlord with people looking for a house in Beijing . I’ll focus mainly on Courtyard007 (now renamed homeudream.com) with who I get a truly awful experience when I rent her house for a year.
There is plenty of stories to write here. I know 2 of people that worked for her. Ons explained her bad practices and dishonesty (post to come). I also received message of many people that had, the same awful experiences.
This blog is here especially to help other to avoid having bad experiences with her and her company. And if you’re already in one of her house, hopefully this could be hopeful for you to try to get most of your deposit back . I know most of you will say “It’s China” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . And so you should be expected to lose the deposit. I’m not totally sure that we let this go. We should denunciate all this bad practice to keep a good experience for people living in Beijing.. I was in China for more than 5 years, was in 3 apartments, in 2 I got full deposit back and a good experience, the last one was Courtyard007 , with a really awful experience.

I guess you are all rumor creator, the 600 is deposit for chairs, since it is returned and I gave the chair back, the guy who said your butt off dare yousay which house youlived in?

I recently got absolutely robbed of my deposit and received a fraction of what I was meant to. In addition to the ‘freezing’ the butt off post; my place was frozen for 3 days (no shower) and Holly was utterly useless all the while. Think I’ll write a post of all the calamities throughout my year with her and send it to you. Don’t want people going through what we did.
Yes Danny, I too would like to write a proper post for this woman and her horrid homes! Have some great pictures too I believe still on my computer! Myself and Chris used to talk about how many problems she gave us! Spread the word at work to make sure she never gets any buisness from any of our western employees!
i rented from holly before and she was a nightmare. she once tried to extort me when my running water was cut-off for several days. She refused to help turn the water back on unless i agreed to extend my contract at a higher cost. i kept the screenshots of this otherwise unbelievable correspondence to remind myself and warn others about her.
Rented with holly for 6 months after living in Beijing for 2 years previously. She was great at first when the house leaked someone came round straight away. But after the 3rd time she started getting frustrated. At us for “complaining to much” rather than the shoddy workers that came to fix the roof but left 12 empty beer bottles and a (still) leaking roof. I had to fight to get my deposit back and turned up at her office(s) 3 days in a row.
On top all the problems with the house (more than just leaks) she lies to the police. When giving your contract to the police she gives the price that she rents it at. Not the ridiculous prices she gives to foreigners this way she doesn’t pay anything on the profit she makes. She is a thief and crook and I honestly don’t know how she’s not in prison. If someone sets up a sponsorship page to raise money to take her to court I will happily send money over.
